NINE ladies played in the Three Clubs and a Putter Competition hosted by Ross Golf Club Ladies at the start of October, Lois Price winning with 43 points followed by Victoria Northcott with 40 points and Jennifer Freel with 38 points.

Three ladies played the nine hole Three Clubs and a Putter, won by Dorothy Green with 18 points on countback from June Savidge, with Jane Williams third on 14 points.

Twenty nine ladies played in a Medalford Competition on October 29 which was won by Hannah Keir with a score of 19 from Lois Price on countback and Sally Lawrence on 22.

The Front 9 hole Stableford played by 23 ladies was won by Janet Hyndman with 15 points from Gaye Barcham on countback and Ellie Peake on 13.

Forty four ladies played in the Lady captain versus Lady vice captain match on November 5, only won when VC Mary Smith beat skipper Lorraine Fenner to secure the win.

Twenty one ladies played in a 16 hole Bowmaker Competition on November 12, won by Ros Ashton, Allison Charles and Dinah Johnston with 65 points.

Ruth Kirchmeier, Nadia Stirling and Gaye Barcham came second with 60 points, followed by Jenny Reeve-Tucker, Mary Smith and June Savidge on 58.

The Front nine Bowmaker was played by 21 ladies and was won by Julia Wilde, Helen Horne and Janet Hyndman with 33 points.

Rosie Price, Marie-anne Belton and Kerry Welding came second with 31 points, followed by Penny Caves, Bridget Hiram and Rhian Garbett-Edwards on 28.

The Lady Captain’s Charity Coffee Morning included an indoor putting competition in lieu of the weather.

Together with money raised from various stalls, Lorraine Fenner raised £650 for Megan Baker House.

A further £120 was raised at the Ladies Annual Dinner, with the auctioning of beautiful pumpkin flower arrangements made by local florists Jane and Laura.

Fifty four ladies attended and Rosemary Williams and Jose Wilson worked tirelessly to make it a great success with autumnal decorations and a delicious sharing tapas style menu provided by the catering staff.
