And with the Daffs also making it through a 4-2 midweek Marsh Supplementary Cup quarter-final with a 4-2 win over Gloucester City Development, the season's end has boosted the Wildsmith Meadow club.
It's not been announced whether Newent will keep their place in the division, but the exit of two teams during the season may well save them.

NG1 leaders Longhope were also downed 3-2 by second-placed hosts Redmarley, Florin Cranic and Harry Tuffley the visitors’ marksmen, but have games in hand.

Meanwhile, on Sunday in a 10-aside Herefordshire Womens's League match due to a shortage of players, Ross Juniors Ladies stormed to a 10-0 win at home to Tenbury United.
They led 7-0 at the break and added three more before the game was stopped in the 73rd minute due to a serious injury to a Ross player.
Nicola Wall fired four, Jess Brain and Hannah Jenkins braces, and Summer Richardson-Wall and Danie Page Ward one apiece for Juniors, sponsored by Kings Accountancy Ltd, Ross Health and Fitness and Scaffolding 2000 Ltd.
