THE WYE Float River and Music Festival is set to raise the bar for its 2025 event with an exciting new addition—a dramatic 8-meter waterfall along its iconic 2-mile inflatable river float route.

Organisers have unveiled plans to install the feature in response to increasing demand for more excitement, promising an adventure-filled experience for both seasoned floaters and newcomers alike.

Participants will now be required to navigate the waterfall as part of their float down the River Wye, adding an exhilarating challenge to the event. “We’re thrilled to introduce this new feature,” said a festival spokesperson: “The waterfall is designed to ramp up the excitement and make this year’s float even more memorable. Whether you’re an experienced adventurer or a first-timer, it’s going to be an unforgettable ride!”

The new waterfall feature is already under construction, and organisers are eager to share more details in the coming weeks.

Festival-goers can look forward to an adventurous day on the water, gliding over the edge of the waterfall as part of the float, surrounded by stunning views of the Wye Valley.

But the Wye Float River and Music Festival is more than just a thrilling water experience. The event is a celebration of country and western culture, bringing together music, food, and activities for all ages.

Set against the picturesque backdrop of the River Wye, this year’s festival will feature an impressive line-up of live music from local bands and artists, ensuring 12 hours of entertainment on the main stage at Hereford Rugby Club.

For families, the festival offers a range of exciting activities for children, including large bouncing castles and face painting. Wristbands for children will allow access to the bouncing castles all day long, ensuring fun for the little ones throughout the festival.
