A NEW care home is being considered as part of the ongoing development of the St Mary’s Garden Village estate in Ross-on-Wye.
The development, which would provide 70 beds, is proposed off the south entrance to Starling Road.
The project is being led by Prime Plc, a Worcester-based health and care property developer and are proposing to hold a public consultation over the project.
Heather Alexander, community engagement manager at Prime, said: “As our population ages and needs become more complex, we are seeing increased demand for care home spaces across the country.
“We are proud to develop vibrant care facilities that enhance the experience of residents and allow them to stay close to their family and community. We are looking forward to meeting Ross residents to discuss the proposed designs and get their input.”
Residents are invited to attend a community engagement event to view the plans for a new care home in Ross. This drop-in event will take place in the lounge room at The Larruperz Centre, on Thursday, January 23 between 1.30pm and 7.30pm.
This will provide an opportunity for residents to view designs, discuss plans with the project team and share their feedback.
Members of the team will be on hand to answer questions on the day.
For those unable to make the event in person, plans can be viewed online at primeplc.com/rossonwye from January 23 and a feedback form will be available to fill in.
