A MAJOR high street retailer in Ross-on-Wye closed its doors suddenly last week.

Superdrug, located in the town’s Market Place has shut, with a notice in the window stating that it would be closed until further notice.

A spokesperson for the company explained that the store had closed for essential repair works to be carried out, but didn’t suggest any timescale for the works to be completed, nor any reopening date.

The spokesperson said: “We can confirm that our store in Ross is currently closed for essential repairs until further notice.

"We will reopen the store once the works have been carried out successfully. In the meantime, the closest Superdrug stores are located at Hereford and Monmouth.”
