THE final phase of the Edenstone homes development at St Mary’s Garden Village in Ross-on-Wye is now on sale.
Launched in summer 2019, the new community has blossomed into a vibrant new neighbourhood.
Edenstone’s homes are already some of the most energy efficient available, but some properties at St Mary’s Garden Village include additional roof and floor insultation, plus solar panels, helping them achieve A ratings for energy efficiency.
There’s an abundance of open space across the 23-hectare site for residents to enjoy including allotments, a kick about area; formal garden and play area, plus walking and fitness trails. A viewing platform overlooking the pond has been created with a direct view to St Mary’s Church.
A net-zero community hub, designed to generate more renewable energy than it consumes includes a kitchen, utility, gym, three toilets, and open space for various groups to utilise.
The home builder has invested more than £2 million in the surrounding area. Financial contributions include £1,396,000 towards pre-school and primary education; £435,000 for a bus service and other transport measures; £143,000 for sports facilities and £15,000 for recycling.
Edenstone Group operations director Chris Edge said: “St Marty’s Garden Village has a good mix of homes to cater for local need, alongside facilities for residents to enjoy.
“We’ve been building and selling homes here for more than four years and in that time the site has been completely transformed.
“Across the development we’ve created a wide selection of housing and welcomed dozens of new homeowners.
“The final countdown is well underway with less than 20 homes available. However, we’ve sold out some house types, including all of the bungalows.
“We even have homes ready to move into, meaning buyers could save on their energy bills this winter and complete the purchase before changes to stamp duty come into effect.”
