THE Mayor of Ross-on-Wye, Cllr Bev Pope, officially opened Midlands Air Ambulance Charity's newest shop in Ross-on-Wye to an eager crowd of supporters

The new shop at the premises of the former HSBC bank in Gloucester Road, offers a wide selection of pre-loved treasures, including clothing, accessories, homeware, toys, and more.

The shop’s first day of trading just before Christmas was a resounding success, with savvy shoppers raising vital funds to support the charity’s vital work.

The amount raised will fund seven lifesaving critical care car missions, bringing care to those who need it most.

Rachael Abi Rached, head of retail at Midlands Air Ambulance Charity said: "We are incredibly grateful for the overwhelming support from the Ross community.

The funds raised through our new shop will directly support our lifesaving missions in Herefordshire, and we couldn’t do it without the generosity and enthusiasm of our supporters."

The charity is also calling on the community to lend a helping hand by volunteering at the new shop. Volunteering offers a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact while gaining valuable experience.

Roles are available for those who enjoy assisting customers, sorting and pricing donations, or supporting the shop’s day-to-day operations. There’s a position to suit everyone who wants to get involved.

With its welcoming atmosphere and wide selection of items, the new shop is set to become a vibrant hub for both shoppers and volunteers, all while supporting the air ambulance charity.

Midlands Air Ambulance Charity is responsible for funding and operating three air ambulance helicopters and a fleet of critical care cars. The shop’s opening hours will be Monday to Saturday between 9am and 5pm and Sunday between 10am and 4pm.
