A MILLIE Malsom hat-trick fired Ross Juniors Women to a fourth straight Mid West Counties win away to Nunnery Wood on Sunday, lifting them to second, level on points with leaders Kiddermister United.
Macy Walker and Hollie Mace quickly found their passing range to put the opponents on the back foot with some excellent through balls, but Juniors found the Worcester hosts' keeper in fine form for the first half hour.
But on 31 minutes a Kiera Brain ball put Malsom through who finished well to put them 1-0 up.
Just before half-time, Ross lost Mace to a head injury which meant a defensive and midfield reshuffle.
But they spoke about staying compact during the break, and after 53 minutes forced the hosts into a trap, Walker stealing the ball before playing a one-two with Brain and driving forward to play Malsom through for 2-0.
On 65 minutes, Ross won a free-kick which Meg Boardman smashed in to the top corner for 3-0 from fully 35 yards.
And Juniors rounded off the scoring with eight minutes left, Boardman's cross finding Malsom who cut inside and finished well for her hat-trick.
Elsewhere, Ross Ladies secured a 7-1 win at Belomont in the Herefordshire Women's League.
They were on the front foot from the start and a mixture of the crossbar and good defending restricted them to a 2-0 lead at the break.
But Ross were far more clinical in the second period, adding five more before a late Belmont consolation, Danie Ward (2), Anna Craig (2), Jess Brain, Nicola Wall and Hannah Jenkins on the Juniors' scoresheet to leave them second.
