Alice Hurley, on her nine-year-old German mare, Woodlander Frangelica, were selected to represent the Central Region in the A Squad rider tests at the Under 25s British Dressage Inter-Regional at Keysoe, Bedfordshire last weekend.
Judged solely on the riders' skill and talent, Alice's scores of 82% and 85% have gained her a place at the A Squad Final to be held on Saturday, July 7th at the Hartpury International Festival of Dressage.
The GB Olympic dressage team will also be present to perform their last tests in preparation for the big event.
During 2012 Alice has successfully competed Fran at British Dressage Medium level; qualifying for the Area Festival and the Under 25s National Championships with winning scores of up to 71%. Alice has produced the mare herself and will aim to compete at Advanced Medium level this autumn.
Alice has been based in West Oxfordshire for two years where she works full time as a rider for Premier Andalusian Horses and Mark Pitman Racing. This year Alice has qualified three Spanish stallions, trained by herself, for the British Dressage Under 25s National Championships and the Area Festival. They are also in contention to represent England at the Under 25s home International later on this year.
The stallions will be ridden by Alice at the National Spanish Championships at Hartpury in July and the International Spanish Championships in Bristol in September to defend their National Champion Stallion titles.
