I would like to congratulate C.Headey on the article ‘Patriotic’, in the August 17th edition of the Gazette.

It succinctly expressed my views on the present state of affairs in this country.

Unfortunately, the government are only interested in power and position and have forgotten what they were elected for.

In addition to the list of dire unpatriotic deals etc.

Locally, we read that the River Wye has been side lined by the minister for the environment Rebecca Pow whoever she is and our small town is now threatened with over development which will destroy its unique character.

It’s of little use to contact our MP Jessie Norman as he seems unable to have any influence on local or government plans or anything for that matter.

However, C.Headey has nailed it - well done!
