X-entricity Youth Theatre, based in Ross-on-Wye return to The Courtyard this October with Priscilla, Queen of The Desert.

X-Entricity usually perform at the Larruperz Centre in Ross, before touring the production to The Courtyard. However, due to the collosal production this show will only be hosted at The Courtyard.

Jane Hewson, producer of X-Entricity said: “I just want to reiterate that we have not abandoned Ross!” She explained that the company has always wanted to do Priscilla, but unfortunately, could not perform it at The Larruperz. “For those who do not know, Priscilla is a bus. And although we have got a taxi (for Fame) and a car (for Grease) up the Larruperz stairs, we could not get a bus up there.

“Also, the costumes are outrageous and massive, and there would not be enough wing space for the actors to get on stage.”

Based on the Oscar-winning film that blitzed the box office, Priscilla, Queen of The Desert, is the feel-good, uplifting adventure of three friends who hop aboard a battered old bus (nicknamed Priscilla) searching for love and friendship.

The show is fun, daring, over-the-top and unforgettable, with a dazzling array of outrageous costumes and a hit parade of dance floor favourites.

Priscilla, Queen of The Desert will be in The Courtyard’s Main House from Tuesday, October 31st to Saturday, November 4th at 7.30pm, with a 2.30pm matinee on Saturday. To book tickets, or for more information contact the Box Office on 01432 340555 or visit www.courtyard.org.uk
