Essential maintenance work is set to begin on the A49 in Herefordshire to help improve safety for drivers.
National Highways is renewing the road markings and studs to provide a clearer and safer carriageway for road users. Also resurfacing some sections of road, replacing signs and traffic bollards.
This is taking place between Wilton roundabout and B4348 Llandinabo and begins on Monday (25 March). Work will be carried out overnight, between 8pm and 6am, on weekdays but excluding bank holidays.
To ensure the safety of road workers and road users, the road will be closed while the work takes place. But it will be carried out in phases to minimise disruption and is due to be completed in early May.
Fully signed diversions will be in place.
