Staff from an opticians in Ross-on-Wye have raised £65 for Cancer Research UK by holding a ‘Wear it Pink’ day.
Last month, members of the team sported their favourite pink clothes and accessories in aid of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The Specsavers store, located on Gloucester Road, also underwent a makeover with pink balloons and bunting decorating their charity stand.
Throughout the day, the store held a range of activities for customers and the local community to get involved with the cause. A range of sweet treats were baked by staff, which were available to purchase, with the largest cake being raffled off. The team also held a Guess the Number of Flamingos game and a children’s colouring competition.
“It was great to see the team, and customers get involved with our ‘Wear it Pink’ day,’ says Specsavers Ross on Wye store director, Lee Thomas. ‘We’d like to thank our staff, along with our lovely customers who made donations to a charity we’re delighted to help fund.”
