THE MUESEUM Without Walls project in Ross-on-Wye, launched to promote tourism, offers users the chance to explore virtual exhibits of historical sites through a downloadable app.
The app showcases locations such as a former fountain at the Prospect and the site of the Roxy cinema on Broad Street.
The project, which has been in development for five years, features basic computer-generated graphics.
Funded by a range of public sources, including the Heritage Lottery Fund, Arts Council England, and local councils, the app aims to attract visitors to the town.
As of the start of the year, the app has been downloaded 2,062 times, a figure that includes both local residents and those involved in the project’s development.
