Madam, I was dismayed to learn about the increases in parking charges in Ross that have been proposed by Herefordshire Council. It is my view that, at a time of great economic uncertainty,

making such substantial increases is unjustified and runs the risk of damaging the economy of the town.

This matter will be discussed at the September Town Council meeting, where I hope to persuade my fellow Town and County Councillors to protest these increases most strongly. I will also be contacting affected groups, such as the Association of
