?Llangarron resident, police dog Quest retired on Thursday, November 29th, at the age of nine and a half. Quest is a fine looking male, neutered, sable German Shepherd dog in good general health. He is really fit and an excellent police dog, which is why he was still working long after most police dogs have retired.
He has been in service for West Mercia Police as a general purpose dog for over eight years and as a firearms support dog for seven and a half years.
His handler, who lives near Ross-onWye, is now looking for an exceptional retirement home in which Quest can continue to enjoy his twilight years.
Although Quest is used to long walks, about three to five miles a day, he no longer really needs them. In fact if he had a reasonable size garden he would be happy so long as he has plenty of companionship. Quest cannot go to a home with other pets or small children and it would be best if he went to an owner with experience of German Shepherds. ?If you wish to share your home with Quest please contact Jill Snook on 01989 770528, email [email protected]
