Mr Regan from John Kyrle High School, said "it was a pleasure" to take year 8 on their recent trip to Cologne, Germany.
He said: "It was a pleasure for us to take 50 incredibly enthusiastic members of year 8 to visit the Christmas Markets in Cologne last week.
"They seized every opportunity to practise their language skills, try out new experiences and learn about topics as diverse as the history of Cologne Cathedral, how to make Lindt Chocolate and how the records are broken in the Olympic Games.
"Their words and pictures will tell you how amazing the visit was for all of us far better than I can!
"All I want to finish by saying is that they were a true credit to themselves and that Mrs Hanson, Mrs Wright, Mrs Gunter and I felt very lucky to be able to spend so much time with such wonderful young people."
