Two clients of West Mercia Rape and Sexual Abuse Support Centre (WMRSASC) wanted to raise money for the organisation by putting on a weekend of family fundraising fun at Pencraig House near Ross-on-Wye.
Mother and daughter, April and Harriet Cornwall hosted the event after Harriet, 16, decided she wanted to do something to give back to the charity that is supporting both her and her mother.
£896 was raised on the day and donations continued to come in after the event pushing the grand total to £1154.75.
April Cornwall said “I am so very proud of my daughter Harriet. I hope that the money she raised will go on to help other survivors of abuse. If it was not for WMRSASC we would not have been able to cope. One day, with their help, we believe life might get easier.”
