Many are concerned by the increasing amount and (elephantine) size of dog faeces on the footpath behind Ross Rowing Club, says a reader who wishes to remain anonymous.

In a report to the Ross Gazette the reader says: ‘‘It seems that the accumulation is occurring along the path from the Homs Road Car Park, passing under the horizontal metal barrier in the corner to get to the field.

‘‘Are these dog owners aware that not only is it disgusting to track dog poop into your home but that it can also cause blindness in children?

‘‘Please can the dog owners think about that and use bags to take their dogs mess home with them. Thank you.’’
