Tributes are being paid to Councillor, and former Mayor of Ross-on-Wye, Colin Gray.
Colin died in hospital on Friday, July 13th, with his wife, Anne at his side.
Colin was well-known throughout Ross for his many and varied voluntary activities.
He was particularly well-known for his work supporting the community at Tudorville, and especially the Tudorville and District Community Centre.
He acted as a steward at events in the town many times, including at the parade for the Olympic Torch, for many years he had been involved in organising the Christmas Carnival and the Town Carnival, and he organised a very successful Country Music Festival in aid of St Michael’s Hospice.

Thank you Colin for all you did.”The Town Carnival committee posted: "It is with the greatest of sadness that we hear of the passing of Mr Colin Gray- a massive part of Carnival for many many years - we are thinking of Anne and the family at this sad time and know that through Carnival the spirit of Colin will carry on for a long time- our deepest respect to a great ambassador for our town and our Carnival."
