John Kyrle High School and Hereford Sixth Form College’s Heart of Mercia Multi-Academy Trust has been recognised in an excellence award.
The academy trust is a finalist in the Staff Development category of the MAT Excellence Awards 2024.
The judging panel looked at the outstanding staff development the trust provides for teachers and support staff and the ongoing opportunities for collaboration and sharing of good practice including our large flagship training events of which there have been three in the last year.
The Heart of Mercia Multi-Academy Trust’s CEO, Peter Cooper, said: “I am delighted that the work of my colleagues in sharing good practice and identifying focused staff training to ensure we provide outstanding teaching, learning, care and support for our young people has been recognised in this way.
“As a growing trust, it is important that the dedicated CPD we offer for those new to the teaching profession right through to aspiring leaders of the future continues to respond to individual needs and recognises that as a Trust, we are better together.”
The MAT Excellence Awards is presented by Optimus Education and is all about celebrating excellence and impact in multi-academy trusts. The winners of the award will be announced at an award ceremony in Solihull on June 27.
