Over a thousand pounds was pulled in at the Mayor’s quiz night last month (March 26).
Mayor of Ross-on-Wye, Cllr John Winder, put on the quiz night at the sports centre to raise funds for his charity of the year, EnviroAbility.
Over 70 people turned out, who were all in full competitive spirit with the mayor taking on the role of quiz master. As well as the quiz, a raffle also took place with some fabulous prizes kindly donated by local business including vouchers to spend at Hanks’ Meat and Game, Peter Hickman and Lizzie Bunting, hamper from Morrisons and a brewery tour and gifts from The Bespoke Brewery Co. Quiz goers also enjoyed a fish and chip supper from Seven Seas.
The evening raised almost £1,400 for EnviroAbility.
Cllr Winder said: “A huge thank you to everyone who attended and helped to raise a fantastic amount for EnviroAbility.”
