ROSS-on Wye’s Bunny Bake-Off returned on Easter Saturday to great acclaim as nine contestants took part.

Ross Town Council’s event theme was all about traybakes. Contestants baked their own offerings at home and bought their baked traybakes to the town’s Market house for judging.

The traybakes were judged by an experts Sakunthala Chandrasekara and Tasha Stones, season 14 contestants of The Great British Bake-Off and mayor Cllr Bev Pope.

The winner was Anne Trenworth, with Diana and Dexter Voiner being voted as the runner up while Andrew Norledge was third.

Sakunthala commented that she loved all entries and went on to praise those who had hand crafted their decorations.

Tasha added: “I loved the variety of traybakes especially as there were not two the same. I suggest that they all should sign up for the next series of Bake Off.”
