Royal Dean Forest Cycling Clubs's summer mid week time trial series is now in full swing. The weather dampened spirits at May 13's event with only 2 riders braving the atrocious conditions around the Speechhouse/Cannop/Parkend 6 mile circuit. Rob Newth made it round 2 laps in a respectable 43 minutes 4 seconds, but Dave Hutchinson of VC Raphael did 3 laps in an impressive 53:53 despite the wind and rain.

The weather could not have been more different for the brand new Tintern 10 mile course on Tuesday May 21st. Calm winds and blue skies were the order of the day at the Brockweir start. Riders enjoyed the hard climb out of Tintern past the Abbey heading to the turn at Chepstow race course.
