FOUR Monross Trailblazers joined a field of nearly 400 to burn off the festive calories in the Hereford Couriers Christmas 10k on Sunday.
Emma Davies starred, taking the women's over-50 category in 47 minutes 42 seconds.
Western Tempo's Charlie Jones was first home in 31.44, beating club mate Matthew Brunnock by 14 seconds, with Andy Raynor of Forest of Dean AC seventh in 34.04.
First woman home was Chloe Elliott of Sale Harriers who came home in 38.27, 15 seconds ahead of Builth's Donna Morris.
Trailblazers' Emma Humphries and Rosie Davies also raced, coming home together in 49.05 and 49.06, while clubmate Catherine Finlay crossed in 50.06.
Meanwhile, Saturday saw the last parkrun of the year, which saw eight Trailblazers turning out over 5k courses in Wales, England and Scotland.
With Ross parkrun cancelled owing to the wet ground, Faye Johnson was sixth overall and second woman at Lydney parkrun – her 97th parkrun to date – crossing in 21.17.
Toby Dickens was at Chippenham Playing Fields parkrun in Monmouth where he finished second overall in 18.02.
Emma Humphries was sixth lady in 24.51, while over-50 runner Tony Davies took his total to a phenomenal 232 parkruns, crossing in 25.08.
Elsewhere, Lowri Bennett was at Sandy Water Parkrun in Llanelli finishing in 29.12, Rachael Aitken was in Scotland at the Vogrie Parkrun near Edinburgh where she came home in 25.34, and Emma and Rosie Davies were at the Severn Bridge parkrun near Chepstow, won by Forest of Dean's Marcus Bonetto in 16.56, coming home in a 377-strong field in 30.19.
