MONROSS-Trailbazers have been going the extra mile with 17 runners turning out in two half marathons.
First up, four Blazers joined a huge 14,500 field at the Bath Half Marathon, where the day started with freezing -5°C temperatures but later "warmed up to a barmy 5°C!"
Kieron Brown was 321st man and 341st overall in a time of 1 hour 23 minutes, while Matt Webb took four minutes off his course PB finishing the race in 1.41.
Emma Davies placed 795th woman and 30th over-50 female in 1.52, while Trina Sami-Brown came home in 2.17 ahead of running this year's London Marathon.
A week later and right on the doorstep, more than 1,300 runners, including 13 Blazers, headed for the Forest Spring Half Marathon organised by the Forest Rotary Club, starting and finishing at the Speech House.
The winner was Lee Gratton of Rugeley Runners in a blistering 1.09.45 from Ben Robinson of Bristol & West.
Bristol's Chelsea Baker was first woman across the line in 1.19.24, 41 seconds ahead of club mate Chelsea Creak.
Blazers' Jack Miller was 46th in 1.24, folowed by Faye Johnson who was 24th woman in 1.35, closely followed by Alice Gray in 1.41, who finished 48th woman.
Martin Turner was 217th overall in 1.42, Rob Potter 245th in 1.44, and Grant White two seconds behind in 246th.
Neil Harper fought off a cold to place 352nd in 1.50, while Gary Griffiths was 436th in 1.54
Emily Harrison was 119th female in 1.55, 18 places ahead of Emma Humphries in 1.57, who in turn was 12 ahead of Rachael Aitken in 1.59.
Vanessa Ward was 183rd female in 2.03, with Rosie Davies finishing just six seconds and two places behind.
