Morgan Baynham-Williams was back on the Wye this week, after inspiring her British under 23 crew to a bronze in the World Championship just days before.
The crew headed to Plovdiv in Bulgaria, for the event and took part in the women’s eight race on Sunday, July 26th.
As cox of the boat Morgan saw that the boat struggling and to provide inspiration, began to sing the national anthem.
Morgan told the Ross Gazette: “It was a heat of the moment thing, I just wanted to remind the crew why they were there.”
The British crew came in behind America, in first and Russia, in second. However, they beat crews from Germany, the Netherlands and Bulgaria to claim third place.
