Children up and down the country and across Ross-on-Wye are enjoying sports fun in the sun as part of their school’s Sports Day. Both St Joseph’s RC Primary School and Ashfield Park Primary School held theirs on Friday, June 28th on a day of glorious sunshine, where parents and friends were invited to attend, watching and cheering on all of the children.
With games of all kinds, from athletics and running to bean bag throwing and hoola hoop spinning, the children split up into teams and competed to gain the most points.
The pupils enjoyed long jumps, javelin throwing, and running through an obstacle course. St Joseph’s Primary School also held a cake stand where pupils could also have refreshments in the shade.
The sports-filled family day was the perfect way to enjoy the sunshine.
