Monnow Swimming Club, were proud to send seven of their best swimmers to the South East Wales Regional Championships on the weekend of February 3rd to 4th 2018.

This annual competition is for the best swimmers in South East Wales and provides a very high level of competition for Monnow Swimmers. Monnow are delighted that Nanci Edwards won a bronze in the 200 Backstroke for her age and that 80% of their swimmers’ times set Personal Bests across all 4 strokes – butterfly, breaststroke, backstroke and freestyle.

Among the seven swimmers was also Abi Agami, who is from Pencraig near Ross.

More Monnow Swimming Club members competed at the second weekend of the Regional Championships, which was held in Newport on the February 10th and 11th.

Monnow Swimming Club has training sessions most days of the week, with many swimmers from Ross-on-Wye.
