Local school girl, Olivia Sheppard, 16, who attends Monmouth Girls School has qualified on her late grandfather, John Albert Charles’ pony, JAC Surprise Addition, for the Royal International Horse Show at Hickstead in July.

Olivia, who lives in Drybrook, qualified at Arena UK, claiming the win in the third round of the JC qualifier, seeing off over 70 other competitors.

Olivia will now compete at the summer qualifiers for the Horse of the Year Show.

Her family are all delighted with her success.
