LADY Captain of Ross on Wye Golf Club, Lorraine Fenner hosted a sunny Away Day at Droitwich Golf Club, reports RUTH KIRCHMEIER.

Thirty-one Ross members enjoyed a Bowmaker competition and a delicious meal in perfect summer weather. 

The day saw Kim Williams, Ellie Teasdale, and Nicky Stannard take first place, while Rosemary Williams, June Savidge, and Joyce Mackley secured the runner-up spot.

Nadia Stirling clinched nearest to the pin on the 15th hole, and June Savidge took the same honor on the 18th. 

Beyond the enjoyment of the Away Day, the ladies of the golf club have been excelling in various competitions. In county-level play.

Hannah Keir and Kerry Welding advanced in the Watson Williams County Scratch Foursomes, while Helen Palmer and Kerry Welding moved to the third round of the County Foursomes. 

July also saw impressive performances in several club competitions.

The Daily Mail Club Foursomes on July 2nd was topped by Jeanette Forrester and Victoria Northcott.

The July 9th medal and Gordon Blake Cup was won by Sally Fycun, with Victoria Northcott as the runner-up.

In the Front 9 Club Foursomes, Ellie Teasdale and Kim Williams emerged victorious. 

Finally, the Ladies Club and County Greensomes on July 30th was won by Victoria Northcott and Ellie Teasdale.

The Front 9 Stableford competition concluded with Debbie Woods and Elizabeth Cliffe taking the top spot.
