Five ladies from South Herefordshire Golf Club (SHGC) arrived at Ross-on-Wye Golf Club, on Friday, March 11th, to play in the second round of the Mail on Sunday Classic Team event.

South Herefordshire Golf Club ladies had previously beaten Monmouth Golf Club to progress to the second round. The weather had dried up the course enough for them to play a day later than planned and the swathes of wild daffodils decided to open and enjoy a little bit of sunshine.

The result was very close with South Herefordshire Golf Club ladies winning three games to two. Everyone enjoyed their match and the day ended with Ross ladies offering hospitality of an afternoon tea which was enjoyed by all.

South Herefordshire Golf Club ladies will now meet Rodway Hill ladies in the third round in a home draw to be played on April 3rd.
