Bob Morgan of the Forest of Dean Motor Club was forced to settle for second place at the Forest of Dean Rally Time Trial.

Winner of the 2013 event, Bob found himself in a battle with Lampeter duo, Andy Davies and Dale Bowen, who were driving a Subaru Impreza previously owned by Bob.

This year’s event offered nearly 30 miles of fast and furious action in the Sweet Lamb motorsport complex near Aberystwyth for the near capacity 38 crews.

Bob stopped the clocks a second quicker than Andy on the opening test in the Winner Garage Skoda Fabia. Andy then took the second back on the next test, the duo continued to swap seconds on the next pair of stages.

A spin for Bob on stage five, gave the Lampeter duo a ten second lead, this was extended to 14 seconds at the end of the sixth and final stage.
