There was a good turnout of 24 riders for the annual interclub Vintage Tankard Trophy time trial on Sunday, October 6th. This year it was hosted by Newport Phoenix CC on a 21.5 mile course, based at Redwick near Caldicot.

Being an almost completely flat course it was expected to be fast but the number of tight corners made it much tougher than anticipated requiring a lot of sprints to get back up to speed.
