The owners of the Wilton Court hotel have announced that the hotel will be closing its doors to the public at the end of the month.

Owners Roger and Helen Wynn have taken the sad decision to cease trading due to Roger’s ill health and the hotel will officially close on December 30th 2019. However, the hotel will be fulfilling all of its bookings up to that date. The couple are to remain in Ross-on-Wye and are looking forward to their retirement.

Helen told the Ross Gazette: “We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our customers for their support over the last 20 years which we value very much indeed.”

Residents have contacted the Ross Gazette to express their sadness. One local resident said: “After the closure of The Chase, it seems we may be losing another venue with group dining facilities.”

The hotel has been sold but will be closed while its new owners plan for the future.
