The Crown at Whitchurch had its grand re-opening on Tuesday night, February 14th, for Valentine’s Day. The pub is under new ownership and new management.

Stefan Larsen, one of the new owners, told the Ross Gazette that The Crown will offer entertainment on Saturday nights. “Not many pubs in the area offer entertainment on a regular basis, so hopefully this will be our selling point and make us fly,” he said.

Stefan and his partner, Jose, who run the Forest View Guesthouse at Symonds Yat, are planning on retiring next year, and decided to take on The Crown as a retirement project.

Stefan and Jose are hoping to buy a house in Whitchurch, and the couple are looking forward to making sure that The Crown is a hub for the community.

The pub has been closed for four months, so Stefan thinks that it will be nice for the local residents to have The Crown open once again.

Stefan and Jose are also planning on offering transport to their residents at the Forest View Guesthouse, and and the money from this will be put towards the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity.

Food will be served during lunch and dinner service, and Stefan says that customers can look forward to a friendly welcome and reasonable prices. He added that the pub, which is situated near the A40, has ample parking.
