VOLUNTEERS are invited to help prepare Kempley’s Spiral Maze for the 50th annual Daffodil Teas season this Thursday, January 9.
The session runs from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM, starting at the Forestry England car park near Kempley Green. Tasks include light pruning, raking, and tidying the maze planted in 2019 to mark the Forestry Commission’s centenary.
Volunteers are encouraged to bring gloves, boots, and basic tools like secateurs or pruning saws. There will also be a briefing and risk assessment on-site.
The Spiral Maze and surrounding daffodil meadow are central to the region’s famed wildflower habitats, maintained through community efforts and local partnerships. The event marks a step toward readying the area for March’s daffodil walks and teas, a highlight for locals and visitors alike.
