Great Oaks Hospice, which covers the entire Forest of Dean and its surrounding areas, is hosting a few fundraising events this year at Bishopswood Village Hall.

The first will be a Vintage Tea Party on September 2nd. Swing, jive and rock and roll music will be played throughout the afternoon and everyone is welcome to come along and join in, or sit and watch.

The organiser hopes visitors will take the chance up dress up in vintage attire too. The Afternoon Teas of sandwiches and cakes always go down well with the guests.

Great Oaks Hospice helped 390 local families last year alone and costs £600,000 a year to run. It relies heavily on donations and the goodwill of people and a series of fundraising events planned throughout the year.

They will also be hosting a 70s Vinyl Disco in October at Bishopswood Village Hall and a Craft Fayre in November.
