A local man, Nick Lewis, took some photographs on Monday, August 28th of an unidentified object in the sky, and he is wondering if anyone knows what it may be.
The photograph was taken between 7pm and 8pm on Bank Holiday Monday at Tudorville, in Ross-on-Wye, looking out towards South Wales.
He described it as a “strange object on fire,” and he saw it plummet to the ground with a trail of black smoke behind it. He said that is lasted nearly an hour.
He added: “Someone suggested it may have been a weather balloon, but I didn’t think they used them anymore.”
