Works are about to begin to revive the 100 year old building, used during World War I and World War II, at Hereford Enterprise Park.

The mammoth building is being given a £7.5 million makeover by Herefordshire Council and when completed the building will become an incubation centre for start up new businesses on the enterprise park and will also contain teaching space for the new University in Herefordshire  - NMITE.

Ross-on-Wye Mayor, Councillor Harry Bramer, Cabinet Member for Contracts and Assets, said: “It is really good news that this early 20th century munitions store has found a new use and purpose in the 21st Century.

“I look forward to seeing the restored building fully open in its new use next year.”

The £7.3m redevelopment of the derelict building on Skylon Park, Rotherwas, is predicted to deliver more than 2,000 sq metres of employment space, with room for new and growing businesses to set up and expand alongside facilities for development and innovation.See this week’s paper for more stories like this, available in shops and as a Digital Edition now.
