Llangrove May Fayre took place on Monday, May 6th at Llangrove C of E Academy, part of HMFA. The cooler weather didn’t dampen the turn out at this year’s May Fayre, the crowds just kept arriving.
Visitors were welcomed by a wide mix of traditional and more unique attractions this year with support from the Berry Hill Band, Megabounce, Whitchurch Fire Brigade, local police and a visit from The UK Garrison Star Wars characters including, Stormtroopers, Tie Pilots, Sand Troopers, Biker Scouts, Darth Vader and Chewbacca. The photo opportunities were endless.
The more traditional May Fayre attraction of May Pole Dancing was also a huge success with the Ice Queen and the battle between Spring and Winter performed by the 1st Llangrove Brownies, Rainbows, Beavers and Scout groups.
The Fayre also included a BBQ, bar, tea and cake tent, plant stall, multiple game opportunities, pets corner, sheep shearing and face painting throughout the afternoon.
The organisers are very grateful for support given by the committee, visitors, and local businesses for their generosity.See this week’s paper for more stories like this, available in shops and as a Digital Edition now.
