Staff at EC Drummond Group left their strawberries, apples and chickens behind to navigate over 1,000 miles of traffic chaos and successfully climb Britain’s three highest peaks within a time of 24 hours - known as the National 3 Peaks Challenge!
The intrepid group scaled Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon on their way to raising £3,550 for St Michael’s Hospice, and £2,955 for MIND.
With Ben Nevis and Snowdon having reasonable weather, the group tackled the boulders on Scafell Pike at midnight in the driving rain and fierce winds.
The team were also fortunate to be provided with an appreciated extra layer of warmth with hoodies for the trip donated by Ross-on-Wye-based work wear and PPE supplier The Safety Shack.
The group handed over the cheque to St Michael’s Hospice on October 12.
