An Auction Evening is being held at Walford Village Hall in memory of Lydia Cole to raise money for The Lydia Cole Foundation.
The Auction will take place on Saturday, July 28th at 7pm, following the Family Fun Day they are holding at the Village Hall in the daytime from 12pm-3pm.
They have a lot of items up for grabs to hopefully raise as much money as possible. There will also be a bar, hog roast and live music from local band, ‘The Rain’.
Tickets are limited due to the hall capacity. They are £10 in advance and £12 on the door, if there are any left. They can be purchased from Rachel Llewellyn by calling her on 07794 755669 or emailing her via: [email protected].
Anyone that can’t make the evening but would still like the opportunity to bid on any of the items, can also contact Rachel with their details and their highest bid.
Some of the confirmed auction items are:
• A 3 Course Meal for 4 at The Mill Race

The Lydia Cole Foundation aims to raise money for various causes that help disadvantaged children under the age of 18 in the Ross and Monmouth area.
Over time, they hope to be able to help with things like the upkeep of playgrounds, providing new playgrounds, help Walford Primary School and playgroup, all of which Lydia was a part of and helped when she was alive.
There is also the youth club in Monmouth ’Links’ where the children get the opportunity to go on trips like Soul Survivor and they would like to help children that may not be able to afford this.
As they grow the Lydia Cole Foundation, they would also like to look into raising money for medical equipment across the community, such as defibrillators. They want to stress the importance of the Foundation, not only to remember Lydia, but to also bring the community together and help as much as they can.
