Dear Editor,

I would like to write to thank and commend the Ross Branch of the British Legion for hosting such an enjoyable Veterans Tea party on Sunday, July 26th at the Larruperz Centre.

The committee had clearly worked hard to make the event happen and it was evident that all who attended enjoyed themselves. A lovely afternoon was spent chatting to people while we listened to the Ross Choristers and a Brass Band from Cinderford.

The display of information on the service people from Herefordshire who died during the world wars was very thorough and humbling. This display will be in the Ross Library and at the Market Place soon, I would urge people to have a look.

I met for the first time the British Legion Bikers a very active but relatively unknown section of the Legion who were clearly a very enthusiastic and committed group. I look forward to more of your events.
