Ten members of Ross Rowing Club who attend circuits on Wednesday nights have completed their dirtiest challenge to date.
On Sunday, October 12th they tackled the seven miles of the Royal Marines Training Course on Woodbury Common, near Exeter. After crossing the start line, the competitors endured a two mile run out to the Commando course, consisting of tunnels, mud pits and the famous 'Sheep-Dip' (a submerged tunnel), once thoroughly covered in mud there was a two mile sprint to the finish line.
The team raised over £750 in sponsorship for the event's nominated charities, The Devon Air Ambulance and Help for Heroes.
