A small team of parents, and a teacher, are preparing to complete the Three Peaks challenge, starting with Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scafell Pike in England and finishing with Snowdon in Wales, all in 24 hours. The challenge is their idea to help fundraise for a purpose built nursery school facility at St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School, Ross.
The Nursery school is currently based within the fabulous sports hall, which the school and nursery shared until the provision for all day care was made available. It was then apparent that additional space would be required to accommodate the full time nursery school.
The vision for a purpose built nursery facility, which will be situated next to the sports and drama hall, will be a fabulous asset for the small school.
The arduous trek is no mean feat for the team who have had their own challenges physically and mentally. This only drives them to be ever more determined, to prove that they can succeed and raise the funds for the future of the lovely school. They want to motivate and inspire the children and promote the importance of a healthy, active lifestyle.
The team, known as stjosephs3peakschallenge, would love the support of the local community.
