Over 50 years ago Slimming World made an important discovery: You don’t have to stop loving food to start losing weight. At the heart of every Slimming World journey is Free Food and now slimmers can create their own recipes using Free Food for a special competition
Local Slimming World Consultant, Debra Maloney said: “At Slimming World we’re passionate about helping our members achieve their weight loss dreams - without every going hungry. With our famous Food Optimising plan you can enjoy a huge selection of healthy, everyday foods like lean meat, fish, poultry, pasta, rice, fruit and vegetables. We call them Free Food because there’s no need to weigh, measure or count.”
During February, Slimming World groups will be holding a Free Food Festival, which will encourage members to cook their own Free Food creation, share and win. Winners of local group ‘cook-offs’ will be entered into a national competition with a chance to win one of three cash prizes. The winner of the Great British Bake off 2019, David Atherton, will be a judge for the national final of the competition which will be held on March 22nd, 2020.
Serena Donohoe, Slimming World Consultant (Tudorville group) says “If you love food and would like to start losing weight, why not come along to one of our Free Food cook-offs in February and discover the power of Free Food for yourself”.
