There have been celebrations for many of the different sections of the Scout and Guide movement since the 100th anniversary of the first camp organised on Brownsea Island by Robert Baden-Powell, to test ideas for his book, Scouting for Boys. This event is generally regarded as the start of the Scout movement.

This year the senior sections of the organisations are celebrating their 100th anniversary, the Explorer Scouts and the Senior Section in Guiding.

To mark this the Ross Gazette published several pictures of events in Ross involving Scouts, Brownies and Guides.

The Gazette would love to know more about these events. If you recognise yourself or have any more information please email [email protected]
