Ross-on-Wye Rugby Club celebrated the achievement of a new milestone in its long history, on Sunday, with the award of Accreditation status bestowed by the Rugby Football Union. Ross is the first club in Herefordshire to achieve this coveted status.
The accreditation means that players, coaches and facilities at the club, from the Senior men's teams through to the Ladies and Juniors, have been audited to show that the club offers the highest possible rugby standards to the local community. Sunday's celebration saw a junior training session and a women's tag rugby tournament. Unveiling the commemorative plaque at Greytree, in front of a large crowd, MP Jesse Norman congratulated the club on its landmark achievement.
