A BY-ELECTION has been called following the resignation of North Parish Ward Cllr Shelley Foreman on Ross-on-Wye Town Council.

Following a call by at least 10 electorates Paul Walker, the Herefordshire Returning Officer has declared that the election will take place on November 7 and voting will be conducted at two polling stations between 7am and 10pm; The studio at Ross Swimming Pool in Red Meadow and at the Community Room at Ross Rugby Club in Abbotts Close, Greytree.
The deadline for prospective candidates to register is Friday, October 11, with the formal list of nominations being published later that day.
The elected councillor will serve on the town council until it is up for re-election in 2027.
